Getting To Know Craigwood

Craigwood Youth Services is a registered charity dedicated to serving the mental health needs of Ontario youth and their families for more than 60 years. Our programs are staffed and managed by a team of more than 100 mental health and child care professionals including Master’s-level clinicians, youth workers, teachers, trainers and administrative staff.

Craigwood takes pride in its continuous development as a learning organization, committed to evidence-informed practice to achieve real, measurable, positive outcomes for our clients and community.

Governance & Funding

Craigwood was formally incorporated as a Children’s Mental Health Centre in 1983. A volunteer Board of Directors representing the London-Middlesex community provides leadership to the organization.

We have been professionally accredited to standards set by Children’s Mental Health Ontario since 1997.

Our principal funding is provided by Ontario’s Ministry of Children, Community & Social Services through their Child & Family Intervention and Youth Justice Service divisions, and through referrals from regional agencies such as Children’s Aid Societies and the Community Service Coordination Network (CSCN) serving London-Middlesex, Elgin, Huron, Oxford and Perth Counties.

We charge no fees for services. For youth in our residential programs, parents and legal guardians are asked to cover the costs related to their children’s clothing needs, dental coverage, prescription drugs and similar items.
